Haig Pit, Whitehaven

Viewed looking across an area of derelict land are the twin headstock towers and pit head wheels at the Haig pit. Behind these is a large building with a tall chimney which would have contained the winding gear, winding engine and boilers. Steam is issuing from two small chimneys. Other ancillary buildings surround the main winding house and pit wheels.
