Narrow Gauge Railway Eskdale
mid-20th century
Looking at a train of headed by locomotive 'River Irt' in an unidentified location, probably in Miterdale. There is a good load of passengers in the eight or so open carriages as the train rounds a sharp left-hand bend with bracken and trees either side and fell tops just visible above in the middle distance. The title 'H3/201. Narrow Gauge Railway, Eskdale' has been added to the negative for postcard printing purposes.
