This view looks north over Brathay bridge carrying the B5286 Hawkshead Road over the River Brathay towards its junction with the A593 Ambleside to Coniston road which can just be seen, the black and white posts of its direction signs visible. Trees dominate the image with white and slate houses just visible among them beyond the junction. The title 'H38/214 Brathay Bridge Ambleside' has been added to the negative for postcard printing purposes.
