The Stone Step At Judith Paris House Watendlath

mid-20th century

Looking within a house through an opening along a hallway towards a stone step onto a half-stairway with four steps onto a half-landing where the sun floods in through a curtained window. At the bottom of the stairs, a small rag rug acts as a trap for dirt on the stone flags of the ground floor. On the very right of the image a rack of postcards may just be partly seen. (cf H45A)
