The Esplanade Knott End

In the middle of a sunny day, looking east along the foreshore parallel to The Esplanade (cf H48A & H50A) from near The Bourne Arms with double-height bay-fronted housing to the right and the bay to the left. On the otherwise largely empty road, six or more workmen with horse and cart are unloading and spreading fill to create the new pavement, separated from the foreshore by railings.
