Dove Cottage Grasmere

Looking northeast at Dove Cottage, Grasmere standing in its own garden from a lane between dry-stone slate garden walls of homes opposite. The slate roofed cottage has leaded windows, whitewashed walls, a lean-to extension on the right and chimneys protected by a slate construction from the occasional shower known in the Lake District. The title 'H85/218 Dove Cottage, Grasmere' has been added to the negative for postcard printing purposes. (cf H85AX)
