Waterhead Ambleside

Looking east: having just left Waterhead pier, hidden behind her stern, MV Teal glides south along the waterfront in front of a series of hotels and, to the right, The Esplanade (in 2021 a Youth Hostel, then a series of small hotels and boarding houses). In the background, sheep graze in one of the fields on the slope which is largely covered by trees with the peak of Wansfell, bare above. The title 'H88. Waterhead, Ambleside' has been added to the negative for postcard printing purposes.
