View west down Derwent Road to the Steel Works. At the end of the street steps lead to a footbridge over the railway and into the works. A locomotive is visible under the bridge. Beyond are the cooling ponds and the row of furnaces and the gantries for the loading of materials. Two tall chimneys in the view. Shop on the left has a sign for Will’s Capstan cigarettes.
