Looking north from Lakeside Pier up Windermere where the steamer 'Teal' has set off on its journey north. Both lake banks are tree-covered and the central Lakeland fells are prominent at the other end of the lake. To the left, several piers protrude from the bank with some boats moored while one is rowed towards a pier. The image is printed with 'H460/212 Lakeside, Windermere' for postcard purposes.
