Looking north-north-west from the beach at Seascale on a pleasant afternoon towards the seafront where substantial stone-fronted houses look out to sea above a bank where a number of wooden huts enjoy a similar view. On the shore, two horses exercise, several families stroll and a few children play, some in pools of seawater. On the left, the top of the Windscale Piles may just be seen above the bank. The image is titled 'H498 Seascale from the Shore' for postcard printing purposes.
