Hawkshead Church
Mid-20th Century
Looking east-northeast at the tower and façade of St Michael's Church, Hawkshead. In the foreground a path is edged with slate slabs which give way to a low wall, topped by railings, around the churchyard with scattered graves. To the left, roofs of the village centre may be seen while the background of the image is filled by undulating pastures, trees and the higher Furness Fells. The image is titled 'H507/219 Hawkshead Church' for postcard printing purposes.
