Looking north up a partially-wooded valley with high fells ahead to the left and right - Bowfell, crinkle Crags and the slopes of Grey Friar. A river winds along a rocky bed in the foreground, watched by a man in cap and coat at a bend, while a farm is visible in the centre of the middle distance with animals in the field in front. The image is titled 'H531/211 Duddon Valley' for postcard printing purposes.
