Looking east across a square at a range of village buildings, mainly roughcast, some whitewashed. To the left, a large tree is prominent in front of The Sun Hotel and the nose of a double-decker bus can just be seen at the edge of the image. In the distance, a cyclist heads towards the photographer, about to pass cars on either side of the road; that on the right in front of petrol pumps outside a house, while another house appears to be a shop. Right of centre are the largest property, in an Alpine style, and a smart bus shelter, next to which a couple relaxes on a bench. The image is marked 'H536/225 Pooley Bridge' for postcard printing purposes.
