Coniston Water From Pinnel

Mid-20th Century

A reversed image looking slightly east of north up Coniston Water from a slightly elevated Viewpoint, probably below Pen Hill (The Pinnel?) with bracken and rhododendron in front of an open field leading down to the lake. The extensive tree cover on slopes at the south end of Coniston is evident while beyond the Lakeland fells provide a background to the lake.
