Looking east-northeast over a shallow, hump-back bridge with slate parapets, on one of which is an ornamental lamp, as village starts to give way to countryside and a steep fell rises dramatically beyond, a white-painted block of buildings partly visible beneath. A dark saloon car is parked at the side of the road after the bridge and several slate-built homes can be seen alongside the road dotted among trees and fields. The image is printed with 'H547/216 Whitebridge, Grasmere' for postcard printing purposes.
