Image of a print looking north from Red Bank, covered with bracken and trees, at the lake and then the east side of the valley north of Grasmere which is dotted with trees around many of its fields. The Prince of Wales Hotel (in 2021 The Daffodil Hotel) is clearly visible close to the lakeshore in the middle distance. On the left, Dunmail Raise is partly visible while the background fells present a more forbidding image beneath cloudy skies.The image is printed with 'H564/216 Grasmere from Red Bank' for postcard printing purposes.
