Incorrectly titled '…from Blewick' in the catalogue and corrected in the title here, this looks west-southwest over the southern end of Ullswater from an elevated position behind slate farm buildings and dry stone walls. Cattle and sheep graze in the tree-lined field next to the farm while two vehicles stand near the lakeshore in the field beyond. Across the lake, trees and bushes line the shore with a wood on the slope beyond before the landscape gives way to some of the highest fells of Lakeland. The image is titled 'H581/225 Head of Ullswater from Bluewick' for postcard printing purposes.
