Looking Southwest a track bordered by a dry stone wall leads downhill to an open grassy area. A large tree stands at a corner in the wall. A second road at the right bends southwards and passes between the buildings of Elterwater village in the centre of the picture. The village stands at the foot of tree covered hills and beyond these in the distance is Wetherlam Mountain.
