Looking north to Chapel Stile village from a small hill. A cluster of houses and the Holy Trinity church stand below an imposing rocky hillside (Thrang Crag). In the distance the Langdale Pikes (Pike of Stickle, Gimmer Crag, Loft Crag and Harrison Stickle) stand above a ridge which runs down from the hillside behind the village.
