Coulderton

1950s

Looking north west, coastline recedes towards a peninsula (St. Bees Head) in the distance. Tide is out revealing extensive beaches with people on them. To right a steep embankment carrying railway lines follows the coastline. Signals and a small station part way down the line. Building on shore below the railway a short distance past station. A narrow jetty runs across the beach from the embankment.
