Looking west-southwest on a cloudy afternoon from an elevated position towards a group of sparse pine trees between a car park and a green leading to the promenade and beach which is sectioned by groynes. The tide is out. In the foreground, a large area of paving leads to a path down to the beach. Beyond the car park is a fenced bowling green then a grassed area leading to trees, beside which is a building with amusements in front. An industrial building peeps over the trees, back left.
