St Begh’s Church and Corkickle
1920s
View north from the road up to Kells over the roofs of the terrace on Meadow View. St Begh’s has a distinct spire and St Begh’s Catholic Junior School has the bell tower. In the foreground the chimney at the pottery, the recreation ground and the engine shed on the Preston Street Goods Branch. Wagons are lined up in the sidings. On the far left is Whitehaven Castle/Hospital.
