Sankey title; South Shore Pleasure Park. Correct title: The Pleasure Beach
Early C20th
A scene crowded with Pleasure Park equipment and holidaymakers/daytrippers. Taken from an elevated position above Noah's Ark, but looking more to the west than 9047. The 'Scenic Railway' and Ferris Wheel are prominent, with the Big Dipper (built 1923) in the background, and a Helter Skelter on the edge of the site. Most of the merrymakers are adults. Towards the sea, no road is visible.
