Naval airship ready for flight
22 May 1911
The largest naval airship in the World at the time, the HMA1, nicknamed 'Mayfly', emerges from its shed on Cavendish Dock. Sailors in a number of rowing boats in attendance. Some spectators stood on top of the shed in the background left. The first flight was 22 May 1911.
