| Date Posted: | Wastwater is a lake on the western side of the Lake District approx. 16km from the west coast. The lake is approx. 5km long. The fells behind the "screes” are Illgill Head and Whin Rigg. The road at the forefront of the postcard picture connects the east of the lake - Wasdale Head- which connects Whitehaven and Barrow in Furness. Ravenglass is a small coastal village and harbour in Cumbria roughly half way between Barrow in Furness and Whitehaven. Historically in Cumberland, it is the only coastal town within the Lake District National Park. Ravenglass is located on the estuary of three rivers, the Esk, Mite and Irt. 68 Monk Street is a terraced house in central Accrington. | |
