"Tuesday. Dear Kathleen, Thank you for your letter - I have just got it. Hope you can come on Friday. My train gets to Carlisle at 10.5 so could you meet me at the G.P.O at 10.30 or if that is too early, at 11? Please let me know by Thursday, as I shall have to leave before the post on Friday. Am so glad you are coming to Derwent Bank. I don't think I shall have a whole day off that week but we usually have 3 or 4 hours free in the afternoon. We climbed Wansfell today & had a magnificent view, - the sea, Morecambe & Ingleboro, as well as mountains. What a lot there is to tell you when I see you. Love from Lois.”
