Date Posted: The photo is of a fairly small and undistinguished waterfall near Boot. A search for 'Falls of Willan' on Google produced no results at all. It is clear that the name is misspelt on the postcard. It is spelt 'Whillan Beck' on the Ordnance Survey map of the area-. Whillan Beck is the main river flowing from Burnmoor Tarn into Eskdale and the River Esk.
