"-the start of the message is unreadable- Did not know you were in harness again, pleased and hope you will like it. What do you think of the increased price? Going fairly well here although bus. is a bit quiet all round. Do you stay here altogether? or stay here occasionally. Pleased to say Boy has put on 6lb since he came home. Kind regards. Yours sincerely G.E. HAINS ”

Date Posted: I'm not entirely certain, but it looks as if this photo is taken looking up Abbey Road towards the station, with the Abbey Road / Hartington Street / Dalton road junction in the middle of the photo. The building on the left with the long set of steps has been replaced by a more modern building. The adjacent Salvation Army Citadel is still there-. There is very little traffic - one bicycle, one car and a tram. The photo is clearly taken from the middle of Abbey Road!
