Vickers Gun Mounting Bay

1906-1908

Photograph taken inside the Vickers works gunshop showing a line of BL 7.5 inch Mk V gun turrets under construction for the British armoured cruiser HMS Shannon. Additional QF 12 pounder 18 cwt guns are mounted on top of the turrets. Two are complete; the others are still to have their barrels fitted.
