"Thursday. Holmrook Cumberland We have rather mixed weather so far but the scenery is wonderful. We are near the sea & the lakes and manage to see a good deal of both. The salmon have been good entertainment as the wide river runs near the house. Hope you have a happy time next week. Sadly we shan't see you. Love G. & S.”
