More information is at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seathwaite,_South_Lakeland Low Hurst, where the senders were staying, appears to be in Ulpha, further south in the Duddon Valley - see: http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/c0d85c75-1e5a-4eab-bc5e-fda5c3411059 The area of the valley immediately north of Ulpha is called Hurstside and there is a farm? called High Hurst shown on the Ordnance Survey map-
