Date Posted: The photo is taken from the Western side of Eskdale from somewhere near Eskdale Green. Harter Fell is 2140 feet high and lies between Eskdale and the Duddon Valley. The Eskdale valley runs from the coast at Ravensglass eastwards towards the highest hills in the Lake District. Birker Fell is a general name for a number of lower fells-
