Date Posted: Regarding the comments on the wet summer and the difficulties with the hay. In the period of the stamp, 1912 was noted as the wettest summer on record culminating in major rainstorms in August causing floods. Even the severely wet summer of 2012 did not break that record. We might assume that the card was sent in November of that year. There is a Great Knott farm in Blawith but I cannot locate a Knott Farm either on Google or on the OS 1911, 6 in map.
