Date Posted: cannot make out dates on the postcard either postmark or date sent but King Edward VII came to the throne on the death of his mother, Queen Victoria, on 22 January, 1901, and he died on 6 May 1910. So posting would of been between these dates. there is a Thomas Edward Stainton born in Bardsea around 1890 and he served in the Kings Own Royal Border Regiment in the First World War and sadly died in action. there is no record of him living in Halifax from what i can find. So not sure if same person. His family continued to live in Bardsea so makes sense it would be him. the address on the postcard has 3 different street names on it but they do all link in to the same small area of Halifax so maybe the poster wasn't quite sure of the correct address or was making sure it got to him by narrowing down the area. google maps confirms the 3 streets mentioned interlink next to each other..
