"Wasdale Head Thurs. 9.iv.31. We are fairly enjoying the beauties of Lakeland having had good weather until today. There are wonderful mist effects at the moment all around us. We propose to do the Black Sail and Scarth Gap to Buttermere today but are tarrying to give the weather a chance to clear up. We both trust you have had a happy holiday - likewise K.M.C. We climbed Great Gable yesterday p.m. as a variety. Regards A.W.C.”
