"My dear both, Yesterday we went up to the top of the Hardknott Pass & looked over into the Duddon Valley. We could see the Langdales & also- the Isle of Man. We could nearly see Aunty J. toiling up the hill! So far it was fine but this morning it is drizzling. However it seems to be clearing a bit & we are thinking of going for an amble round Wastwater. - Lots of love. F.”
