Date Posted: This was the last capital Japanese warship built in Great Britain, being launched in Barrow-in-Furness on 18 May 1912. It was completely rebuilt between 1935 and 1937. It was sunk on 21 November 1944 by a torpedo fired by the American submarine Sealion in the waters of Taiwan.
