"Wed 27-6-63 Teasdale Road Walney We saw this ship launched last Sat, a lovely sight to see. The cream survived yesterday safely and we are enjoying it. The weather has been nice apart from a very wet day yesterday. Hope you had a nice day last Friday. We are all quite well here hope you are all as well. Love from us all From yr. Dad”

| Date Posted: | It is unclear if this is actually a Sankey photograph. There is no reference to Sankey on the card. The Methane Princess was launched in Barrow-in-Furness on 22 June 1963. It delivered the world's first commercial liquified natural gas- in October 1964. It was scrapped in 1997 in India. | |
