Date Posted: The card shows five familiar scenes of Barrow-in-Furness. 'Town Hall' Barrow town hall was opened in 1887 and remains in use today as council offices. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrow-in-Furness_Town_Hall 'Park from War Memorial' Barrow Park was designed by Thomas Mawson in 1908 and subsequently constructed. It covers some 45 acres. The cenotaph-. 'Devonshire Dock' The dock, which is the oldest part of the Barrow dock system, was opened in 1867. In the 1980s a large part of the dock was filled in, and now houses the Devonshire Dock Hall, which is used for the final assembly of submarines.
