Date Posted: The King Alfred Hotel is located on Ocean Road on Walney Island. It was opened in 1904, originally being called 'HMS King Alfred' after a cruiser built in Barrow-in-Furness in the early 1900s. As of 2021 it is still trading as a hotel and restaurant. https://kingalfredhotel.com/
