Looking east from end of Railway Terrace at the ore sidings at Lindal. An 0-6-0 London and North-Western Railway engine at head of approximately 20 mixed wagons of iron ore facing towards Barrow. Chimney of Lowfield mine in the background. Sidings to the left with several more wagons. Young man in smart clothes, without hat walking across tracks. The engines were known as Cauliflowers as the painted crest on the engine looked like cauliflowers.
