A view from the A590 turn: left to Lancaster/Bowness; straight on to Ulverston/Barrow; turn 180 degrees for Torver/Coniston. First building on the left is the Police House, and on the right the current village hall (2021). Five men, one with a bike, look at the camera, with a cyclist and a car disappearing towards Barrow. District? Bank can be made out on the left.
