Cotton Mill, Cark

Mid 1920s

View up into the village from the bridge by the Engine Inn which has a sign “Car for Hire” and Sankey’s Morris parked outside. The four-storey mill is on the left. There are shops beyond the bridge but the signs are not readable. On the right is a wooden kiosk with newspaper adverts outside. There is a motorcycle, a man with a wheelbarrow laying slabs and three people standing by the bridge.
