Furness Railway Offices in Barrow, Entrance Gates

Looking east from outside the entrance to the Head Office on St Georges Square. A soldier and two officers are on duty during the National Railway strike in 1919. Six men are idling by the soldier. A railway official and a smart man are within the grounds. The pedestrian entrance is on the right with a glass canopy wrapped around the building. St George's Church on the left.
