Loco FR 21 Crew
Early 20th century
Looking north-east at the crew of Furness Railway loco number 21 standing on the loco's footplate between the half-cab and tender. The cab side and tender have brass handles and a solid line lining. A company plate identifying the loco is on the cab side and the edge of the brass dome is just visible above the boiler, above which may be seen the end of the overall roof of the 'Swiss-style' station. A chimney and the ridge of a house roof - likely Hibbert Road - behind the crew suggest that the loco is standing 'wrong road' at the north-west end of platform one. (See 7527)
