Aground off Bootle

19 Oct 1935

Steam cargo ship ESBO reputed to be aground off the coast of Bootle. Vessel appears well out of the water with its propeller clearly vertically. Smoke coming out of its funnel indicating power, also anchor deployed with chain visible. Two tugs in attendance further offshore presumably waiting for high tide to take the cargo vessel in tow to safer waters. .
