The double launch of the Estonian Navy submarines Kalev and Lembit at Vickers Armstrong Barrow on 7th July 1936. View showing Kalev going down the slipway; its sister submarine Lembit was launched approximately 30 minutes earlier. The Kalev had the distinction for operating for two allies' Navies during WW2, the Estonian and the Soviet. The Kalev was commissioned into the Soviet Navy in 1940 and went missing in 1941, suspected to have hit a sea mine.
