Stratheden
1937-1938
Stratheden was launched on 10th June 1937 at Vickers Armstrong Barrow- in-Furness for P&O for its UK to Australia run. She was requisitioned by the Admiralty during World War Two and was extensively used as a troopship in both theatres of war. The photograph shows her in the fitting out berth, Buccleuch Dock, Barrow. She was scrapped in 1969.
