Stratheden leaving Barrow

Stratheden departing Barrow through the dock gates, tugs in attendance. Both docksides are lined by cranes and workers watch the progress of the ship. Launched 10th June 1937 and completed in December 1937, Stratheden was requisitioned by the Admiralty during World War Two and used as a troopship, continuing in service until 1969.
