Strathallan departing Barrow, tugs in attendance, bascule bridge between Buccleuch and Ramsden Dock lifted. Image taken from 150 ton crane. Strathallan built for P&O by Vickers Armstrong waslaunched on 29th September 1937. Requisitioned by the Admiralty during World War Two and used as a troop and hospital ship, until sunk by U172 in the Mediterranean during December 1942.
